     Driver Certificate of Professional Competence

A lot of nonsense has been circulated about Driver CPC, most of which has been brought into the public domain to worry drivers and owners of small to medium companies.

But in essence the training is simple.

Drivers need to complete 35 hours of training within 5 years if they are driving vehicles with a MAM in excess of 3.5 tonnes and wish to drive for a living.

Training will be given by Paul Williams who is based in North Devon and an RTITB approved Master Driver, and will include a driving day (half in classroom), drivers hours and tacho's, health and safety issues, accidents including statement taking and accident plan drawing.  Also covered is manual handling and dealing with company paperwork (in cooperation with the hosting company of course). Paul offers courses nationwide.

The Driver CPC training package consists of 5 seven hour modules, some of which are labour intensive with just a two to one trainer/delegate ratio, and some with up to twelve to one ratio.

If we priced the modules separately, it would be as complicated as doing the Times crossword, so to keep it simple for everyone we have an all in cost of £399.00 per delegate, subject of course to sufficient numbers per day.  If we priced the modules separately then the total cost would be around £600.00.

For all modules other than the driving day, we operate on a minimum six to one ratio.

To secure a Driver CPC course at the lower rate all payments are invoiced in advance.  We offer courses seven days a week at no extra cost.
