Module Overview

Driver CPC 

35 hours over 5 years

Module 1   

                a)    Drivers hours.

                b)    Analogue and digital tacho's.

Module 2

                a)    Vehicle and load handling systems.

                b)    Safe vehicle loading.

Module 3

                a)    Principles of safe, defensive and economic driving.

                b)    Practical techniques of safe, economic and defensive driving.

Module 4

                a)    Health and Safety in transport.

                b)    Personal wellbeing, transport health and safety.

Module 5

                a)    Company procedures and customer care.

                b)    Secure transport operations.

Each part of a module is 3.5 hours, and a total of 7 hours training must take place, although parts a) and b)  of each module do not have to take place on the same day. Module 3 part b) must take place within 24 hours of part a) the classroom presentation being completed.

Although training is for 7 hours, students must expect to be on site for a minimum of 9.5 hours which includes mandatory breaks and introduction, and paperwork so that they have a clear understanding of Driver CPC etc.

Although there is no exam, there will be a short recap test at the end of each module, NOT UNDER EXAM CONDITIONS.
